Other Water Test
Drinking Water Test:Ship drinking water testing must comply with the three major requirements of IMO, EU and WHO simultaneously. Shipowners and operators shall comprehensively apply these standards to establish acomprehensive drinking water safety management system to ensure the health of crew and passengers.
Bilge Water Test:Ship bilge water testing must comply with the two major requirements of IMO and VGP(Vessel General Permit) simultaneously.Shipowners shall establish a complete bilge water management system,including equipment maintenance,regular testing and detailed records,to ensure global compliance.
Graywater Test:VGP(Vessel General Permit) specifies clear testing requirements for specific vessel types,including indicators such as fecal coliform,residual chlorine, suspended solids, BODs and PH.
EGCS Test:lIMO and VGP focus their regulatory oversight on four core indicators for ship scrubber effluent:PH value, PAHs, turbidity and nitrates.Shipowners shall establish a complete scrubber effluent management system.
Sewage Test:lMO sets out basic requirements for sewage discharge and treatment plant performance through MARPOL Annex IV and MEPC resolutions, while VGP implements stricter testing standards in U.S. waters.
Note:Actual testing shall be implemented in accordance with the flag state regulations,port state control requirements, and the specific type of the vessel. Some port states may adopt stricter standards than those of IMO (e.g., China GB3552-2018).
